I remember walking in the snow on Christmas Eve in a small village in Switzerland, I could hear choral music all around me from the nearby churches. The snow fell gently and silently. I carry that happy memory with me.
In a global pandemic, it can be hard to find peace in simple moments when you know the world outside is burning. Yet, somehow you manage to find stillness in yourself.
I want to advise people against consumerist tendencies during the holidays. The people around the tree are more important than what’s underneath it.
My hope for this world is that we don’t wait until the holidays to be a kind and giving person. That we extend the spirit we feel during this season, and use it all year round. I hope you and the rest of your friends and family are staying safe and warm this holiday season. What are some of your favorite traditions to celebrate?
